Burningman: Evolution

Went to the Burningman festival for the second time this year. A whole city, which we call Black Rock, is created in the-middle-of-nowhere desert Nevada and...to me...and many, many others...it is the best city in the whole world. I absolutely love Black Rock City and everyone that lives there! It's my favorite place to be and I hope to attend every year that I am physically able to do so! It is very difficult to describe it. The best I've heard so far..."It's a happening". London wrote a great description of it in her blog, so instead of trying to summarize, improvise, or add-on to what she wrote, I'll have to ask you to read it from her:

"People keep asking me what Burning Man is. My answer to that is: Whatever you want it to be.

50,000 people journey towards Reno every September.... to celebrate the Burning Man Festival. Held in-the-middle-of-nowhere desert - an entire city is created. Difficult festival to explain - because it not so much a festival but a CITY! Black Rock City has it's own police, post office, waffle house, music venues, tea houses, yoga centers, clubs, magic shows, a circus, even a Ballet show from NYC. Fire dancers, hoola girls, vampire strippers!..... Everything is Free. No currency. Kindness and bartering. An eclectic crowd. Residents come from all over the world - I have held conversations with scientists from NASA, teachers from the inner city Bronx, a 20 year old kid sailing the world in his sailboat, stealing food from wedding parties and surviving off adventure....

Every minute at Burning Man - something fantastic is being created and experienced. Want to know what I am talking about? Check out the Burning Man website - read through their Theme Camps - experience the photography - you will (kinda sorta) understand what I am talking about.....

Where else can you find a REAL diner with stainless steel counters, with coffee and grilled cheese sandwiches, and a pretty lady in a hair net..... 3 miles in the middle of no where at 5am in the desert?

Where else can you get lost in the desert and find a pay phone and talk to God?

Where else can you ride a bike in your underwear, covered in Camel Fur, wearing Swim Goggles, with two fingers up your ass? And when you get off that bike - someone with a Hippo suit will want to give you a hug?

Burning Man creates a culture that should exist in every day life.... Neighbors are golden! Judgment is rarely passed. Respect for the weird and the outrageous! Breaking out of the box. Art and hugs. Everything is so weird and so strange and new and beautiful - it is hard to keep up with the city as it grows.... Matthew and I spend a lot of time at the HeebieGeebie camp, a healing camp, a meditation camp full of soft spoken spiritual types - I strive for the way that I feel at Burning man. Want to bottle it up and encompass it in my everyday life.... I find myself there, I get lost, I get scared, I meet new people, I ride my bike till I cannot breathe, I roll in the dust, I hug strangers, then the sand storm comes and dusts up my glasses.... Fucking Burning Man. So grateful it exists. So so so grateful that this will be my third year attending.

As I type this, thousands of hard working volunteers are out in the desert - staking out well organized roads, setting up the perimeter, building camps, creating a trash fence, preparing for the rest of the family to show up.... next year... I want to go in early. I want to see the city rise out of the lake-bed and into city.....

Special Thanks!

Fetishcon was an absolute blast! And for that I need to give a special thanks to Dave with Lonestar Damsels for sponsoring my trip, being a wonderful producer to work with and an overall great friend. I have worked with Dave for a year and a half now and I always have a fabulous time when we are together!

This year we held another Batman shoot and have decided to make it a FetishCon tradition. So stay tuned for the 3rd annual Batman shoot that will be taking place next year. Here is a shot from the shoot this year. As always, I play Ms. Barbara Gordon...Batgirl! I love playing Batgirl and get into this character for several different kinds of superheroine shoots. It's so much fun! Na, na, na, nanana...na na na....BATGIRL! :)

This year we had Kordelia Devonshire as Catwoman, Devon as the Riddler, Rossbound as Batman, and SleeperKid as the boy wonder, Robin. We had such a great time! Catwoman and Riddler kidnapped me, Batgirl, as a trap for Batman and Robin. The three "good guys" were then tied up and threatend with one of Riddler's home-made bombs. Ha! Storylines in these
shoots are just hilarious ;)

I also need to give thanks to Steve Villa with Girl Next Door Bondage who is another great damsel-in-distress bondage producer to work with. Although I did not work with Steve during fetishcon, he featured some of the stuff we had shot together at his booth on the convention floor and is always a great supporter of the work I do.

GirdleBound

Girdlebound is a site where you can find beautiful women in gorgeous vintage lingerie. I got to do a shoot for the site at Fetishcon with photographer Larry Bradby. Larry is a great friend, so we had a blast shooting. Last time I saw Larry we were at the DEAC in Detroit and we did way more goofing off than shooting, but we still came out with some great shots!

Anyway, I had been shooting all day and running around like crazy. I was starving and was invited out to a lovely dinner, but I decided to skip dinner and do a shoot for some fun! I’m sorry I didn’t make dinner Richard, but I hope you enjoy the photos. I enjoy your clothes and your company too, of course. Thanks ;)

You can now find me on the site here as TracytheTiger.

Pool Parties

What can I say about the Fetishcon late night pool parties other than, “Whoa!” If you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about. Huge pool and spa filled to the max with fetishcon folks. It’s where everyone gathers after their nightly activities whether that is dinner, a fetish party, a night at the lobby bar, a night full of shoots, fun in the play room, or all of the above. The pool is the place to end the night! Everyone’s making out, flashing each other, huggin’ on each other, licking whip cream of each other’s asses….oh wait, maybe that was just me, but I doubt it ;)

I had a lot of great times in the pool with my lovely ladies Samantha Grace and Kordelia Devonshire! I love you guys, Muah XOXOXO!! Also had a great time with the SKW crew. You guys are so much fun! And I could also count on Gary Pranzo from Media Impact to be laughing it up in the spa. He’s too much fun! And there were so many others that I just had a blast with!

Best pool experience would have to be when the fire alarm went off. Everyone in the building was evacuated. It was nuts! Glad the pool was only on the 5th floor. We couldn’t use the elevators, so I feel bad for the people that were up on the 17th floor and had to chuck it down all those stairs. Once out of the building, it was like a block party on the street. Most people were either coming from a shoot, a fetish party or the pool. So it looked a little like a fetish circus! People half naked in bathing suits, others in full latex and other fetish gear. What a sight for the locals driving by! I really wanted to climb on the fire truck that was parked out in front of the hotel, but figured it was best not to get in trouble. What a crazy night. This FetCon will now be remembered as “the one with the fire evac”, Ha!

Had Such an Amazing Time!!!

Fetishcon was such a blast! I can't even begin to describe how much fun I had. I worked my ass off all day and partied like a rockstar all night. I had lots of shoots, met many new people, made tons of new friends and got to see so many people I absolutely love! There was no time for sleep, I don't think I ever sat down for more than 30 min at a time. It was go-go-go and I ran on pure adreline for 5 days! It was crazy, but so much fun =)

There is so much to say about all of my wonderful adventures at the Con, but for now here's a few pictures. I have had a pretty rough time since I've been home and don't have it in me to write much. I came home to a whirlwind that turned my world upside down. The memories of Fetishcon are helping to get me through it though. Awww...good times in Tampa!

Don't worry, there are plenty more pictures and stories from the Con to come...

Fetishcon!

I'm in Tampa for the lovely convention that is Fetishcon! I've met up with so many friends already and not everyone is here yet! I'm having so much fun, I can't wait to see what the next few days will hold!

Went to the Cabaret De Kinque party last night at a bar called the Crowbar. It was hosted by Miss Evelyn Rose and there were some great performances from some of the lovely models. Kordelia Devonshire with Stacie Snow and Isobel Wren rocked it!!! Unfortunately I woke up to a nasty hangover and have been puking my guts out all morning. Was hoping to be better for my first shoot at 1, but it looks like I'm not gonna make it there til 2, damn! And it's with Gary! I love Gary! But he was drinking with me last night and has a bad hangover too, so he understands. I coming Gary. I'll be on my way soon...just after I finish this blog ;) I won't have internet again until I get home, so I figured I'd post something quick. But there will be more Fetishcon adventures to read about soon...

No Brakes...Holy Crap!!!

On my way home from the workshop in NJ, one of the bridges to Long Island was closed, so all traffic was diverted into the city, through the Lincoln tunnel. I was in pure stopped traffic for about 10 minutes when I decided to hit the trip meter and see how far I was going. Turns out I went a whopping 5 miles in 1 hour. That is nuts! Especially after a long, draining day! I just wanted to be in bed.

Finally, traffic gets moving and I feel like I’m getting somewhere. I’m about to enter the tunnel. Ok, I’m almost through the city, it should be smooth sailing from here. Traffic at the beginning of the tunnel was moving nicely for a little while and then I saw the line of red taillights light up in front of me. Luckily I began breaking early…or tying to break that is. The brake pedal went completely to the ground and I was not stopping.

Holy Shit! I’m going to hit this car in front of me! Quickly, I pulled the E-brake, hoping to stop….but no! The car kept plowing forward at the same speed and the car in front of me was approaching quickly. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! I can’t have a pile up accident in London’s car! In a tunnel of all places! This cannot be happening to me right now! Luckily the left lane was being cleaned and it was vacant. I jerked the wheel plowing over the rubber poles that divided the lanes and threw the car into park. It finally stopped as several cars honked their horns at me. I didn’t crash. Holy shit! I didn’t crash!

Now, what to do? How do I call London and tell her that the Mustang has taken a shit, once again. It needs to move her down to Austin, TX in a few weeks; she can’t have it break down right now! And I’m stuck in a freakin’ tunnel in the middle of New York City. What the hell?

I catch London right before she was about to fall asleep. She says to get it towed to the nearest shop and her and Pat would start driving to the city to get me. A nice gentlemen stopped traffic and asked me what had happened. He then continued on to inform the cops at the end of the tunnel that I would not be moving and needed assistance. The cops hooked up the car and towed it out of the tunnel. I then had to sit on the side of the road and wait for a real tow truck to take me to a shop. This is a time I really wish I had AAA! So, $94 later and 2 tow trucks rides I made it to a Pep Boys. London and Pat arrived right after I got there so I didn’t have to sit in the empty parking lot. I could tell I wasn’t in the best of neighborhoods and it was about 2, maybe 3am at this point, so I was relieved.

London was happy I was okay and happy I didn’t crash the car…but I know she was quite upset it was non-drivable. Her car is like her best friend, it’s taken her around this country twice and then some. Plus, with the big move to Austin coming up…it was a horrible time to break down. She'll probably need to rearrange her shoots for the next few days too. What a huge mess!

I was still a little shaken up from the whole experience when we got back to the house in Northport. I was awake until 5:30am. All I could think about is how lucky I am that the brakes went out when they did. Next to an open lane, in slow traffic, out of the rain….any other place I had been driving could have led to a real nasty accident. It was definitely a time to reflect and count my blessings.

I hope the Mustang is okay and won’t cost too much to fix! London is awaiting a call from Pep Boys to see what the real damage is. We’ll probably have to cancel our shoots this the morning too…ugh! I hate canceling, especially when I’m counting on the money. Bummer man!

Keeping my fingers crossed for an easy fix… London needs her Mustang!
